Here’s a company that blows away customers. Literally.

Bloomberg TV (Flow Channel 30) has some really good stuff for anyone interested in entrepreneurship.  Like right now the founder of Zappos, Tony Hsien is on…here’s a quote from him: “The problem is not a lack of resources but a lack of resourcefulness”.

Anyway back to the subject of this blog.  The Dry Bar.  All they do is one thing and only one thing.  No cuts.  No color.  Just blow outs.  And they get a whopping $35us for the privilege to blow dry your hair and style it.  And the blow dry is really only part of the deal.  The real deal is the experience.  They pamper you and make you feel like a star.  They train their associates to perform because they are “on stage’.

Can you imagine if you went to your neighborhood gas bar (aka gas station) and the staff were all in uniform and performed for you.  They cleaned your wind screen and topped up your windshield wiper fluid.  And what if they checked your tyres for good measure, all the while dancing and singing.   That would be real different.  That would blow you away right?  And blow away the competition.
