When 2 Sharks fight…customers smile.

For those of you interested in the fine art of marketing war, I recommend you throw an inquisitive glance in the direction of Maracas Beach.  There you will find a very big ‘bake and shark’ brand called Richard’s and a whole bunch of pilot fish brands.  The latter get the left overs of customers that Richard’s is unable to serve.

Now there is a new shark in town, not new to Maracas, but new to Richard’s door step.  Uncle Sam wants a bigger chunk of the booming food trade business and he’s changing the game.  Apart from the complimentary drink and apple (yes you get a free apple!), their cool table service contrasts with the blistering heat everywhere else.  Sam has changed the game from product excellence to customer experience.  How about getting your bake and shark delivered to you while on the beach so you have more sun bathing time?  Well that’s coming to a Maracas Beach near you if Sam has his way.

Check it out marketing folks.  We can learn a lot from Richard Branson and Mark Zuckerberg and we can also learn from Uncle Sam and Richard.  Be certain that Richard’s, like the shark he serves, will do whatever it takes to remain the hunter and not the hunted.

And just like “marketing” the best Bake and Shark isn’t the one that has the better branding/marketing. The “little pilot fish” actually have better tasting bake and shark (no one servers ‘shark’ anymore tbh) I have always found Richards to be over rated. My 2¢.
