What’s your Chobster?

This weekend was Fatima’s “salt and pepper” cookout fundraiser.  Every year I try to do something out of the ordinary so that guests would choose to try my dish over others.  And every year I see the usual suspects; chicken stew, ribs, curry duck, crispy skin pork and fish in all kinds of sauces.

So started thinking about how I could do something interesting when the light went on to invent the chobster.  Succulent baked chicken breasts smothered in a creamy, buttery lobster sauce with brandy, dill and Dijon mustard flavors.  A decadent addition to an everyday staple.

Chicken got all dressed up and my table has never been so popular.   What are you doing differently from your competitors?  What can you do to make an everyday experience special?

For example, Peter around the corner from my office, gives jokes when he’s serving you lunch.  He also offers a complimentary drink.  The food is good and the experience makes it better.  He has figured out a way to stand out on the ultra-competitive Maraval Road strip.
